  • On November 23, 1998, Bill’s life was to change forever when he claimed that he had a journey in his spirit body and experienced 23 minutes in hell where he was eventually rescued by Jesus.
  • He says it was just a normal Sunday for him and he had returned from a prayer meeting with his pastor. He had gone to bed as usual, and at 03:00 his journey began where he was dropped into a prison cell where he encountered four ‘creatures’ and couldn’t believe the heat, stench, and screaming of others.
  • For six years following this experience, Bill researched scriptures to find out what the Bible said about hell.

Church Work, Books and Net Worth :

  • In 2000 Bill & his wife Carol founded Soul Choice Ministries to spread the word of the Gospel.
  • It wasn’t until 2005 following his talks in church and on some radio and TV programs, that Bill was approached to write a book ‘23 Minutes in Hell’ about his 1998 experience. This book appeared on the extended New York Times’ ‘Best Sellers List.’ Such was the success of the book that it was later translated into more than ten languages.
  • In 2007, Bill found himself in such demand to talk about his Hell experience that he gave up his job as a realtor and entered full-time in the ministry that he had founded.
  • Other books have followed such as ‘23 Questions About Hell’ and ‘Recession Proof Living.’
  • Despite the success of the books, Bill has also received a great deal of criticism. However, he stands by his truth and has many believers in his story.
  • He has appeared on the TV show ‘It’s Supernatural’ sharing near-death experiences that people have shared with him.
  • He published a book ‘What Happens When I Die’ which recount peoples near-death experiences. These stories present not only Christian views but views and teachings regarding death across other religions.
