Stepwise evolution of the V8 Cadillac led to the V-63 of 1924 and 1925. New to the model were front brakes, and updated front suspension and a two-plane crankshaft. Bodies were also slightly longer with a higher hood and typically had more interior space.

Options included wire wheels, disc wheels and balloon tires.

In October of 1924, Cadillac offered a Custom line with five new body styles. This led the customer choose from 24 paint schemes and 10 upholstery patterns.
