Keoni Thiim had 14 kills as the third-ranked University of Hawaii men’s volleyball team recorded its second straight lopsided win over Tusculum, 25-15, 25-11, 25-7 on Sunday at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.

Kurt Nusterer had six of UH’s 16 aces. The Rainbow Warriors (8-1) hit .549 against the Pioneers (1-8).

UH next hosts No. 4 Stanford on Wednesday and Friday.

• WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: At Honolulu, MeiLani McBee hit two key 3-pointers in the fourth quarter and finished with 14 points as the Rainbow Wahine beat UC Irvine 55-43 Saturday to take sole possession of first place in the Big West.

UH (12-8, 9-2) held the Anteaters (13-7, 7-3) to 25 percent shooting, including 0 of 15 from the 3-point line.

Lily Wahinekapu had 11 points and Imani Perez added 10 for the ‘Bows.

• MEN’S BASKETBALL: At Irvine, Calif., the Rainbow Warriors fell to 4-7 in Big West play and 12-11 overall on Saturday, falling to conference-leading UC Irvine 93-68 on Saturday.

UC Irvine (17-6, 10-1) shot 61 percent — getting 62 points in the paint — and led wire-to-wire.

Bernardo da Silva led UH with 19 points and eight rebounds.

UH next plays UC San Diego on Thursday, the men at home and the women on the road.
