The Ada County Sheriff's Department arrested a Nampa man Wednesday for attempting to meet a 14-year-old girl for sex.

35-year-old Tony Ray Holbrook arranged to meet what he thought was a teen girl for sex. Instead, he found Ada County Sheriff's Office detectives waiting for him.

Holbrook began messaging what he thought was the teen girl via a messaging app. An ACSO detective was on the line and informed Holbrook that the girl was 14 years old. Instead of discontinuing the conversation, Holbrook continued it for a week, progressively becoming more sexual.

Finally, on Wednesday, Holbrook arranged to meet with what he thought was the teen girl. Deputies arrested Holbrook when he showed up at the meeting place. Holbrook is accused of child enticement, but everyone is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Holbrook could face up to 15 years in prison if found guilty.
